Showcase
On April 23, 2007 the Sagebrush Quilters Guild bestowed an honourary membership to long
time member Jeri Biron. Over the years, Jeri has been involved in the executive of the
Guild, program committee and has participated whole heartedly in the Community Quilts
projects, in particular the fire quilts of 2003 and quilts for cancer patients. Jeri
always has a quilt to share with us. She is generous with her time, quilting skills and
encouragement. In fact, she is passionate about quilting. She can take a piece of fabric
that others reject however small and turn it into something lovely. She requested homework
for the summer and specifically said to give her the challenging stuff to work with. She
was confident she could make it work.
Jeri is not only a member of our Guild but also the River Valley Guild and the Hospital
Auxiliary. I know that she gives generously to those organizations as well as to ours.
We thank you Jeri from the Guild, and the agencies we support in the Kamloops community.
Your honourary membership is well deserved. A standing ovation to you.
